Buhari Approves The Treatment Of Former VP. Alex Ekwueme Abroad

President Muhammadu Bubari has approved that former Vice-President, Dr Alex Ekwueme, be flown abroad immediately for medical treatment after family disclosed his unstable health condition.

The approval from the President covers the immediate charter of an Air Ambulance for the emergency movement and the cost of treatment for the elder statesman.

Buhari’s approval came barely 24 hours after medical experts advised the family of ailing second republic Vice President against flying him abroad until his condition improves.

It was gathered that the President’s approval was sequel to a brief the President received Friday on the medical condition of the former Vice-President.

Few minutes after, the president in a statement on Friday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, approved the request, praying that God grant the elder statesman speedy recovery.

It would be recalled that he had been admitted at a private hospital in Enugu state, where doctors have continued battle to stabilize his health while arrangement for flying him abroad continues.
